What is a DOL-OWCP doctor?
A DOL-OWCP doctor is a provider who treats injured federal employees under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA), which is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs. These providers are familiar with OWCP's forms, medical reporting, and billing process, which is different from state workers' compensation.
Can I choose my own doctor as an injured federal employee?
In most cases, yes. Under FECA, an injured federal employee generally has the right to make an initial choice of treating physician. That choice matters, because your doctor's reports become the medical evidence the Department of Labor relies on when reviewing your claim.
What is Form CA-16 and do I need one?
Form CA-16 is an Authorization for Examination and/or Treatment. For a traumatic injury, your employing agency can issue a CA-16 that authorizes initial medical care. If your agency gave you one, bring it to your appointment. If you don't have one, contact us anyway and we'll talk through your situation.
Which federal agencies do you treat workers from?

Do I have to pay for my treatment?

How do I file a federal workers' compensation claim?
